Kyle Malloy DMD, MS
Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology
Dr. Malloy believes periodontal care is about far more than saving teeth—it is about improving health, confidence, and quality of life. His philosophy centers on treating the whole person through evidence-based periodontal medicine, helping patients preserve their natural teeth whenever possible while supporting their long-term overall health.
Dr. Malloy's passion for dentistry began early while growing up in an Air Force family. Through the opportunity to shadow his father, a Prosthodontist in the Air Force who later became Director of Clinical Restorative Dentistry at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), he developed an appreciation for the unique blend of science, precision, artistry, and patient care that defines dentistry. Working in a dental laboratory during high school further strengthened that passion and set the course for his career.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University before completing dental school at OHSU, where he graduated with Great Honors. His academic achievements included recognition at the prestigious Hinman Student Research Symposium and faculty awards as the outstanding student in Oral Surgery, Implant Dentistry, Operative Dentistry, and Dental Materials Research.
Dr. Malloy then completed a three-year residency in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at OHSU, receiving advanced training in periodontal regeneration, soft tissue grafting, dental implants, and the management of complex periodontal disease. He is now board certified in Periodontology and Implant Surgery, a distinction earned by only a select group of periodontists.
Today, Dr. Malloy's practice focuses on comprehensive periodontal care, minimally invasive laser therapy, soft tissue grafting, dental implants, and peri-implant disease. A central focus of his practice is the connection between oral health and overall systemic health. By reducing chronic periodontal inflammation and restoring oral health, he strives to help patients not only keep their teeth but also improve their long-term wellness.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Malloy regularly pursues advanced education in periodontal medicine, oral-systemic health, laser therapy, regenerative procedures, and implant dentistry. He also enjoys lecturing and collaborating with dentists, physicians, and dental hygienists to advance patient care throughout Southern Oregon.
Outside the office, Dr. Malloy enjoys spending time with his wife and family, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and cheering on Gonzaga Basketball.
